If the default permanent and contract index categories don't fit your publication requirements the PRS can be configured to categorise the indexes based on the Vacancy Reference (Ref) field. This can be used to implement an arbitrary division of published vacancies to two separately customised web sites.
To categorise based on the Vacancy Reference field you first need to add PubId1 and PubId2 entries in the Main section of the prs_data.ini file which is located in the PRS Data Directory. Edit the file with NotePad or your favorite text editor, if it doesn't exist you'll need to create it.
These examples list the Web category specific lines added to the prs_data.ini file:
Published vacancies with IND in the Vacancies form Ref field will be put in the second (ci) vacancy index, all others will be put in the first (pi) index.
Published vacancies with TMP in the Vacancies form Ref field will be put in the first (pi) vacancy index, those with IND will be put in the second (ci) index, remaining published vacancies will be skipped.
|TIP:||To force all published vacancies into a single index follow Example 1 and enter an unused PubId2 value (one that will never appear in the Vacancy Ref field), for example:|
