Command Line client install

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You can install the PRS Client from a DOS command prompt and use installer wizard command-line options to suppress interactive prompts, This is useful for system administrators wanting to upgrade the PRS Client without user intervention. At the DOS command prompt enter the following command:

 prs2k_client_setup_708.exe /norestart /silent

The installer is executed in the background so the command prompt returns immediately, this is normal.

Another installer command-line option is /dir="<path>" which overrides the default directory name displayed on the Select Destination Location wizard page. A fully qualified pathname must be specified. For example:

 prs2k_client_setup_708.exe /norestart /silent /dir="c:\prs2k_client"
