SplitFile

SplitFile is a freely distributable file splitter/combiner utility for Windows 95/98/NT4.

The Split command breaks a single file into multiple smaller split files. The Unsplit command reassembles split files back to the original file.

Two uses for file splitting are:

  1. To transport files to large to fit on a single removable disk.
  2. To break a large file into chunks for transmission over the Internet.

Compatible SplitFile functionality is included in CanIt a versioning file archiver for Windows 95/NT4.
