SplitFile README File
=====================

INTRODUCTION
------------
SplitFile is a freely distributable file splitter/combiner utility for
Windows 95/NT4.

A full description of the application along with licensing information
can be found in the SplitFile on-line help or at the methods: web site
at http://www.methods.co.nz.


INSTALLATION
------------
Since SplitFile contains only one executeable file (splitfile.exe) and
does not use the registry, no formal install process is necessary,
simply unzip the executable and help files to a single folder.

To install SplitFile:

1. Unzip all files in splitfile.zip to an existing folder. For example
   c:\Program Files\SplitFile.

2. Optionally create a desktop shortcut to splitfile.exe.

To run SplitFile double-click SplitFile.exe or the desktop shortcut.
